Further testing and development of the GTMore aero package led to these F8X front dive planes with more surface area than anything else on the market. The “747” indicates just how "jumbo" these are. They are sized to match our GTMore front splitter and rear wing - already quite large and effective - and will be over-sized for most other racing splitters on the market*. With more downforce at the front we are able to tune the aero balance overall.
It's important to consider your aero package for the whole car. What happens at the front also affects the rear, and vice versa. Achieving the balance of more downforce without creating more drag is what sets our aero pieces apart from other pieces on the market. Our swan-neck GTMore rear wing is capable of a lot of downforce, which necessitates more on the front as well. By adding more front we now have the option of adding more rear as well.
These are a set of four dive planes, producing a tiered aero setup on the front of F80 M3 and F82 M4. They should be installed with screws and nut plates (included). The bumper must be removed to install the nut plates using rivets. These do not match the mounting points of the original GT4 dive planes so new holes will be required.
* Our GTMore splitter is already much larger than others on the market. Using these 747 Jumbo dive planes may require trimming to match the profile or extension of your existing splitter. Especially if your rules dictate the size and profile of a splitter. Or you can run them full size and create size envy from the other dive planes in the paddock!
BimmerWorld race carbon parts are designed solely to improve performance. Surface finish and appearance are not priorities in our racing parts. Carbon may be unfinished or sometimes with a minimal clearcoat (for UV protection). You will not find high gloss finishes here for style points. If your priorities are a show car shine there is no shortage of cheaper carbon-wrapped fiberglass or plastic pieces on the market. These are usually loaded with fiberglass, filler, resin, and many clearcoat layers that make them too heavy or not rigid enough for real world competition use. If you wish to apply a finish we suggest vinyl wrap or a light filler skim coat and then paint. In any case, professional prep and installation are strongly advised. Our carbon pieces are Made in the USA by a composites manufacturer with years of top-level motorsports expertise.
