Front splitter upgrade for F80 M3, F82 M4, and M4 GT4. This is our own lightweight carbon splitter, designed for our GTMore project car, and can be used as a non-homologated upgrade for GT4 models. The difference between GT4 and GTMore is obvious - our splitter has much more surface area and a more efficient profile. Exactly the purpose of our GTMore project - how much more performance can we get from a street M4 over the factory GT4 race car?
Our goal was to have a balanced front and rear aero package. This splitter has been designed in conjunction with our Swan Neck rear wing (see link below).
One important factor in designing this splitter was that it be as much of a bolt-on install as possible. Unfortunately, the F8X platform makes this nearly-impossible. If you were starting from a bare shell or with the entire nose off the car it would be pretty simple. However, with all of the street car features and systems still on the car any true motorsport-ready splitter will require significant effort to properly install. Full disclosure: this will take more than a casual Saturday afternoon to mount. However, it is a direct fit replacement for the GT4 front splitter so if you need to replace a crash-damaged piece or want to upgrade, the splitter can be purchased on its own and install is no different than the factory GT4 part. If you are replacing a damaged GTMore splitter, or upgrading from a factory GT4 splitter and don't need mounting brackets, cables, or other hardware, select the "no hardware" option from the dropdown.
BimmerWorld race carbon parts are designed solely to improve performance. Surface finish and appearance are not priorities in our racing parts. Carbon may be unfinished or sometimes with a minimal clearcoat (for UV protection). You will not find high gloss finishes here for style points. If your priorities are a show car shine there is no shortage of cheaper carbon-wrapped fiberglass or plastic pieces on the market. These are usually loaded with fiberglass, filler, resin, and many clearcoat layers that make them too heavy or not rigid enough for real world competition use. If you wish to apply a finish we suggest vinyl wrap or a light filler skim coat and then paint. In any case, professional prep and installation are required. Our carbon pieces are Made in the USA by a composites manufacturer with years of top-level motorsports expertise.
